Free documentary films screenings to welcome success of 11th National Party Congress

From January 20th 22, the Central Scientific and Documentary Film Studio will offer free screenings of typical documentary films which were made from 1960 to 2010 in its projection rooms.

The event aims to welcome the success of the 11th National Party Congress and celebrate the 81st anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930).

The Central Scientific and Documentary Film Studio reported that six documentaries were selected to be screened. There are three films about President Ho Chi Minh, including: “Images about the life and activities of Ho Chi Minh” produced in 1960, “Ho Chi Minh – His images” and “Southern Vietnam in my heart” produced in 1976.

Moreover, a video documentary film: “General Vo Nguyen Giap, a century and a lifetime” will be screened free, said the studio.

The remaining two documentaries, produced in 2010, include: “The Communists” and “From the Ba Waterfall to Son La Hydroelectricity”.

“The Communist” tells about generations of party members of the CPV who sacrificed their lives and struggled for the work of national liberation and construction in the renewal task. They are fine examples for youth to admire and follow. “From the Ba Waterfall to the Son La Hydroelectricity” describes the staff of power producers with power projects over the past half-century.
