A ceremony was held in HCMC on March 6 to present the Golden Rose Cup Award to 100 outstanding Vietnamese women entrepreneurs in 2010. The annual event was co-organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Vietnamese Women’s Union to encourage and honor women entrepreneurs who have performed well to contribute to the country’s socio-economic development.

On behalf of the Party and State, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan extended congratulations to mothers and women nationwide on the International Women’s Day. Congratulating 100 businesswomen receiving Golden Rose Cup Award, Deputy PM stressed that 20% of Vietnamese businesses is managed by women. Therefore, typical businesswomen’s success shows Vietnamese women’s noble character and firm spirit.
