New law on labor and minimum wage launched
Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs just held a conference launching the new contents of law on labor and minimum wage 2013 with participation of the agencies and over 700 representatives of labor unions in enterprises. Accordingly, the two new contents of the law approved by National Assembly of Socialist Republic of Vietnam on June 2012, coming into force on May 1st 2013 and the contents of government’s Decree No. 103/2012/ND-CP dated December 4th 2012 stipulating minimum wage for laborers working in enterprises, collective businesses, plantations, households, and organization hiring laborers as well as guilding circular of the ministry on regional minimum wage.Reported by Van Son – Translated by Vi Bao
