Phu Giao district’s Party Committee and Phuoc Thanh province’s Liaison Committee, on Sept.18, co-held a get-together to commemorate the 51st anniversary of Phuoc Thanh victory.

51 years ago, at midnight on the 17th and dawn of the 18th of September 1961, our army and people achieved a resounding victory in Phuoc Thanh. Upholding the heroic tradition, Phu Giao district’s Party, government and people has over time made efforts in the local development and construction process. The average income per capita of the local people this year is estimated at VND23.4mln; economic growth has also reached 13.1%...

On this occasion, the Be River bridge under Vinh Hoa and Phuoc Hoa communes, where hundreds of revolutionary soldiers were killed by enemy forces during the 1959-1961, was recognized as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic.
