Provincial People's Committee has just directed the implementation of the Ministry of Finance’s Official Dispatch No. 03/CD-BTC dated September 13, 2024, on strengthening price management measures after Yagi typhoon. Accordingly, provincial People's Committee has assigned provincial Department of Finance to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize the implementation of the official dispatch.
The Official Dispatch No. 03/CD-BTC dated September 13, 2024, from the Ministry of Finance states: Furtther strengthening the implementation of Official Dispatch No. 61/CD-TTg dated June 22, 2024, from the Prime Minister sent to ministries and the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities regarding the enhancement of price management measures to ensure the goal of controlling inflation and stabilizing the macro economy to support economic growth; Utilizing flexible and effective tools and measures for price regulation as prescribed by the law to control and stabilize the market; enhancing the implementation and monitoring of price declaration, price listing and public information on prices; organizing inspections to ensure compliance with price regulations and strictly handle violations of price laws.
The People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities should closely monitor market price trends and supply-demand, especially for essential food and agricultural products; supervise commodity markets at wholesale markets, shopping centers and supermarkets to prevent the situation of goods scarcity and price gouging; strictly handle any actions that exploit emergencies, incidents, natural disasters, or epidemics to unjustifiably raise prices of goods and services for profit; facilitate the circulation of goods, particularly to remote and disadvantaged areas; seriously and effectively implement the aggregation, analysis and forecasting of market prices as well as reporting market prices under regulations.
Provincial Department of Finance should proactively coordinate with departments, agencies and sectors to promptly advise the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities on enhancing price management, regulation and stabilization efforts; assess the local conditions and actual situation to consider and decide on the implementation of market stabilization programs in case of unusual fluctuations under their competence and regulations...
