Experiencing four congresses, provincial War Veterans Association has constantly affirmed its role in the local socio-political activities and deserved to be a reliable mainstay of Party, government and people.
Actively taking part in building and defending Party, government
Over the past 22 years, provincial WVA admitted more than 11,250 new members, bringing the total number of members so far to 13,391.
Members of the association have always been exemplary in executing the Party and State’s laws, policies and promoting them among locals.They have also directly taken part in instructing implementation of the local tasks on socio-economic development and national defence-security. The whole association now has 4,310 members participating in the local Party, government and mass organizations.
Many works made by war veterans have contributed to the local socio-economic development
Le Danh Toi, Vice-Chairman of provincial War Veterans Association said that members of the association have upheld the tradition of “Uncle Ho’s soldier” and well fulfilled entrusted tasks. Their significant activities in the task of building and defending Party and government over the past time have affirmed the role of war veterans associations at all levels, deserving to be a reliable mass organization of Party, government and people.
Helping each other in economic development
Since being established, provincial War Veterans Association has always paid attention to promoting emulation movements in production and business among members.
Members of the association have also actively helped each other in economic development and poverty reduction. Over the past 22 years, the association mobilized organizations, individuals to build 530 unity houses and basically eradicated temporary houses among members.
There are now 70% of total number of members with good living standards; 29% with average living standards and 1% with poor living standards. Among members, there are 49 directors and deputy directors of companies, plantations and 354 owners of small and medium-sized farmsteads. They have also actively got involved in social charity activities.
During the past 22 year, provincial War Veterans Association always expressed the role of a socio-political organization; being a place to gather and mobilize war veterans to well uphold the virtues of “Uncle Ho’s soldier” and joined hands with the local army and people to build of a prosperous, beautiful and civilized Binh Duong.
Before the revolutionary requirements and tasks in the new context, all members of the association will strive to successfully realize political tasks, actively take part in maintaining political stability and promote the cause of the national and local industrialization and modernization.
