On the morning of June 18, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, chaired the 63rd meeting. Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of the Standing Committee of the provincial Party Committee, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, and leaders of departments and agencies in the province. The meeting was also broadcasted online to 9 locations in the province's districts and cities.
The report at the meeting showed that in the first 6 months of 2024, the socio-economic situation of the province achieved positive results in most fields. Specifically, the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased by 6.19% compared to the same period in 2023; the value of industrial production is estimated to increase by 5.63%; the province's main export sectors are gradually recovering. The budget revenue is expected to reach 49% of the provincial People's Council's estimate and achieve 54% of the Prime Minister's assigned estimate, an increase of 11% compared to the same period. Trade and services increased by 13% compared to the same period; the export turnover is estimated at 16.298 billion US dollars, and the import turnover is estimated at 11.521 billion USD.
At the conclusion of the session, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed that all levels and sectors continue to make greater efforts and determination in directing and managing activities; actively coordinate closely, promote the achieved results, utilize all resources and opportunities, focus on supporting businesses in production, business, and socio-economic development, at the same time, to ready appropriate solutions to promote economic growth, industrial production, consumption, investment, exports, striving to best accomplish the assigned tasks and plans.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested relevant departments and agencies to urgently complete the Provincial Planning dossier for the period 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050, to be submitted to the Prime Minister for approval and to organize a conference to announce the planning; focus on resolving obstacles in the disbursement of public investment capital, accelerate the progress of key projects; urgently complete the land exploitation plan, generate revenue from land for the province's socio-economic development to improve the quality and shorten the appraisal time of investment projects to facilitate early implementation, resolve difficulties in real estate, social housing, production, business, trade - services projects; develop the province's urban development program until 2030 and vision until 2035.
