Binh Duong province’s Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Detachment helps countless excellent-but-poor pupils.
Boosting traditional education
Traditional education on over 4,000 year national history is considered as a highlighted activity among a series of programs. Over the past 5 years, a series of movements and clubs of 196 inter-detachments across province have been established. Through plentiful forms such as emulation movements, exchanges with historical witnesses, gift visits to heroic mothers and among others, teenagers’ soul and morality are developed better.
One of typical movements of the modes included emulation movement themed ‘one thousand good things’. Bui Bao Loc, a 7th grader of Tan Binh high school’s young pioneer detachment picked up and repaid a tael of gold worth VND36mil to an owner whilst Nguyen Thanh Toan, member of An Tay A primary school’s young pioneer detachment picked up and repaid VND6mil to an owner.
Upholding the national tradition of ‘The good leaves protect the worn-out leaves’, Nguyen Minh Quan, member of Bach Dang primary school’s young pioneer detachment spends his money for breakfast to grant one milk can to his classmate Nguyen Khanh Hai, a disable pupil. Or, Nguyen Thi Thuy Dieu and Nguyen Thi Hai Yen from Tan Binh high school’s young pioneer detachment take turn to carry their disabled classmate pick-a-pack to go to school.
Besides, movements of charity rice pot, little soldiers… have been boosted and reached remarkable results. Annually, the provincial detachment honors and grants merit certificates to 7,000 excellent members and teenagers.
Upholding efficiency of action plans
Implementing Uncle Ho’s teachings, inter-detachments across schools have positively launched emulation movements. As a result, a series of typical examples have encouraged members’ spirit. Pham Van Dinh and Trinh Phuc Tho are called little creators and joined in the national ‘young IT team’.
Besides, hundreds of clubs themed science, young talents and exemplary classes have lured numerous members.
Nguyen Khoa Hai, vice secretary of the provincial Youth Union and chairman of the provincial Young Pioneer Detachment Council, said ‘Overcoming challenges are efforts done by members and teenagers. The success is thanks to attention from the central Young Pioneer Council, provincial Youth Union, mass bodies. With the message of ‘For children’, the council will make greater efforts to develop movements for teenagers’.
