Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan yesterday hosted a seminar on Southeastern manpower development for the period of 2011-2020 at Binh Duong New City with the participation of leaders from central and local agencies.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the conference, the deputy PM said that human resources development is a crucial issue for local socio-economic development. At the conference, reps of ministries and agencies presented solutions on manpower development for the region, residential, labor situation and vocational training till 2020.

Besides, reps of local leaders in the region including localities of Binh Duong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and HCMC presented reports on regional human resources development for the 2011-2020 period.

The deputy PM steered that planning on universities, colleges in the region should consider training majors to improve the scale and quality of hi-tech manpower training so as to offer for businesses. In addition, localities should check network of every universities to train majors suitable to businesses’ requirements.
