Between 2010 and 2015, Tan Uyen will further boost a shift in economic structure shift, promote industrial development along with development of services, urban and residential areas; strengthen investment for socio-economic infrastructure in a synchronous and modern manner.
Over the past five years, Tan Uyen’s economy gained robust growth. Industrial production value reached 24.58%, services 26.06% and agriculture 5.04%. The GDP per capital of the district was estimated at VND25.8mln per year. State budget collection was 5.5 times higher than that of 2005.

So far, Tan Uyen district has absorbed 289 FDI projects and 511 domestic ones with a total registered capital of more than US$1bln and more than VND4.28trillion. Among these projects, there are 111 developed in the local industrial parks. The district’s northern region has also been developing industrial parks in association with the local process of agricultural and rural modernization, including Tan Uyen industrial and urban park and Dat Cuoc industrial park.
Also during the time, Tan Uyen district step by step limited investment outside industrial parks and compounds while sorting out industries for investment to protect the environment. In terms of traffic system, the district invested and built 3 streets of DT746, DT747B, DT742 with a total length of 57km. Many other works like Bach Dang, Thu Thiem, Thanh Hoi bridges were also completed and put into use, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic growth.
Under the Resolution of Tan Uyen district’s 10th Party congress in the 2010 and 2015 tenure, the district’s general targets are to further maintain economic growth in association with sustainable socio-economic development; step by step realize agricultural and rural industrialization and modernization under hi-tech based agriculture; focus on developing economic infrastructure in a synchronous way under the overall planning for the local socio-economic development approved; made efforts in creating a good business climate to lure more investors…
The district’s immediate tasks are to quickly implement State-funded projects for the key traffic system; make procedures for working out industrial parks of Tan My, Dat Cuoc and Thuong Tan approved with a total area of 1,200 ha; strive to have industrial proportion accounting for 60%-61% in economic structure, services 30%-31% and agriculture 8%-9%.
To achieve the above-mentioned targets, Tan Uyen district needs to have a strong solidarity and unanimity of its whole Party in upholding all forces, plus the province’s support. One of the district’s first tasks is to build a synchronous technical infrastructure and an open business climate…
