After one year of lively operation, local youth union for agency unit bloc reached positive change on operation contents and forms, meeting the bloc youths’ demand and aspiration. In the Year of Youth 2011, the bloc youths and unionists will positively conduct crucial goals.

In the past year, the bloc youths excelled movements and activities held by grassroot youth union. Notably, volunteer youth activities for poor people and remote children and revolutionary contributors were well conducted. Also the past year, the bloc offered free health check up and medicines for more than 1,400 needy people with the total value of over VND90mil, granted 129 gifts worth VND40mil to heroic mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers and privileged families. 

Excellent collectives and individuals are honored.

Administration reform was also one of top goals that the bloc youths conducted in the past year. Especially, the bloc set out a three-duty movement including responsibility to people, responsibility to job, and responsibility to themselves a three-reduction movement of mistake reduction, complicated procedure reduction and waste reduction. These duties will be conducted for many years in the bloc, affirmed the bloc secretary Tran Thi Hong Hanh.

The Year of Youth 2011 will include action plans of exchange between leaders and youths, program of lighting dreams, festive day for children and so on. Accordingly, the bloc youth union will offer loans, scholarships for excellent-but-poor students, offer health check up and medicines for the poor, build 8 charity houses for needy people…

Despite difficulties in 2010, the bloc youth union was considered as one of the local strong blocs. The execution board of the bloc youth union granted merit certificates to 42 collectives and 169 individuals for their excellent achievements in the past year.
