Warmness of sentimental attachment

“When drinking water, remember its source” is the national tradition from time immemorial. Realizing this, Binh Duong’s armed forces have over time made many practical activities to take care of the material and spiritual lives of the families of war invalids, martyrs and those who rendered services to the revolution.

Since 2008, provincial Military Command has well realized the task of paying salaries and allowances for soldiers with a total expense of more than VND63bln; carried out social insurance policies for 257 cases with VND2.533bln; provided health insurance cards worth more than VND1.753bln for 5,992 relatives of soldiers…

Provincial Military Command has also teamed up with relevant agencies to visit and present gifts to military units; organized get-togethers for retired soldiers; took care of soldiers on Tet; presented gifts to new recruits, social policy beneficiary families with a total expense of more than VND83.882bln.

Regarding the activities of “Paying debt of gratitude”, provincial armed forces have contributed nearly VND1.4bln to building 7 priviledged houses and 17 unity ones for social policy beneficiaries and soldiers on service; acted as an advisor for the local authorities to build 219 gratitude, unity and charity houses with a total expense of VND2.2bln. Provincial Military Command has also built and donated 15 gratitude houses worth VND600mln to the families of martyrs in the northern province of Lao Cai…

To mark the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’Day (July 27), provincial armed forces have got involved in many signficant activities for the families of war invalids, martyrs and those who rendered services to the revolution, including raising VND193mln to the local Gratitude Fund; building 3 gratitude houses worth VND184mln for social policy beneficiary families; further taking care of 476 tombs of unknown soldiers…

Provincial Military Command has also further implemented the PM’s Decisions 290, 188 and 142 on allowances for those who directly got involved in the resistance war against American invaders, but have not enjoyed State’s allowances yet. In the first half of the year, 136 such cases were provided the State’s allowances. Provincial Military Command also spent tens of millions of dong on visitting, presenting gifts and providing free medical check-ups for social policy beneficiaries across the province…
