Over the years, Binh Duong province’s foreign affairs has been expanded and strengthened, contributing to investment attraction and trade promotion. On the working visit at the province, Bui Thanh Son, Vice minister for foreign affairs had an interview with Binh Duong Newspaper about the issue.

Through the visit, how do you assess local common situation for foreign affairs?

Binh Duong is the province leading in international economic integration. The integration has expanded local foreign affairs and international cooperation for other localities and nations.

With determination and vision of local leaders, I believe that in the cause of development of int’l relation, Binh Duong will keep contributing to the development process and become one of localities leading in the country’s common growth.

What attention do the ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese foreign affairs agencies in foreign countries offer for Binh Duong, sir?

As for foreign affairs, the ministry has played a leading role and contributed to localities greatly. We have contributed some aspects in diplomacy of economy.

First, our country has had over 90 rep offices in foreign nations. As for Binh Duong’s cooperation programs for nations and territories, we have ratified local agencies to promote investment. We have favorable conditions to introduce potential partners to Binh Duong.

Second, we have paid attention to helping the province expand large markets and seek out new partners in the industrialization and modernization process.

Third, we have launched investment, trade and tourism promotions. The ministry and rep offices in foreign nations have had close cooperation with local departments of Trade and Industry, Investment and Planning… Through agreements, the ministry and rep offices will help Binh Duong launch projects effectively.
